It's not made clear by anything except the sucker punch at the end, but this is a demo. There's hardly anything here. There's a few boards with talking, and not necessarily well-crafted talking. Then it tells you "end of demo."

There's no music and a few poorly chosen sound effects. Graphics look like... well, they're terrible. I just can't defend this.
